Ellie Gold-ing, such a goldy sound.
Well, hello tumblr.com haven’t written in ages.
just for your information, i’m writing this review in the middle of my work at the office while my bosses have a weekly meeting. haha such a bad-ass worker, ait?
so, i miss music in advance. working as an intern journalist made my world turns around, round and round from the fun world. i have to be updated to social and political issues intead of music.
this week is my last week in the office as an intern. this week i randomly and regularly hear Ellie Goulding as my soundtrack of the week (well, i tend to have my own personal song every weeks). i knew Goulding since i was in 12th grade. her hit single, Starry Eyed, mesmerized me in that time. she reminds me of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Kylie Minogue sound-a-like.
this entire week, i listen to her two tracks from Lights album. Firstly, This Music and secondly, Black+Gold. i’m gonna write two reviews, to make it simple, so here they are…
first review, This Music. IMO, this track is aw-some. Goulding was mixed up the sound of electro with folk and ethnic sound. her previous hit single, Starry Eyed was sounded too,um sort of an electro wave and stuff. This Music brings a new ambiance of Goulding’s, besides i love folk genre haha. anywaaay…. i conclude, This Music is such a brilliant breaktrough song in her latest album.
secondly, Black+Gold. once i read a tweet from my fave radio announcer, named Marsha Suryawinata or (at)marsuryawinata had tweeted this track. if you know me well, you goota guess i’ll be “that” curious. yes, with huge curiousity i found this track in my bestfriend’s laptop. no need to think twice, i directly grabbed this track haha. first time i hear this song, like Mars’ tweet; it’s such a beautiful song. in my personal opinion, it’s such a goldy sound. well, if you are interested in listening to her song (in this review), i give you some links. happy hearing it!
